175 foreign students say farewell to CEU San Pablo at the Farewell Day

Just like each year, Universidad CEU San Pablo has celebrated the end of year ceremony with its International students in the traditional Farewell Day. The ceremony held at the Aula Magna of Moncloa Campus has served to say farewell to these students coming from different parts of the world. With the end of their time at CEU they receive the diploma and the academic scholarship.

Estela Herranz, coordinator of International Mobility was in charge of addressing them. She wanted to highlight the efforts made during the year by the Head of the International Office, Alejandra Villena. In turn, in representation of students, Ines Pellat and Simon Meriel from Université Catholique de Lille (France) and Scott McGowan, from Cardiff University (UK) gave a speech. With their words they thanked the University for such a valuable experience during these months.

With this ceremony we close one more year but CEU Universities already start working in the next one. In fact, CEU San Pablo itself is carrying out tests for the admission of new international students. This is the case of those developed by Professor Riánsares Arriazu, coordinator of the Degree on Preclinical Courses of Odontology who has travelled to Taipei (Taiwan) to examine 39 candidates many of whom will join the Faculty of Medicine. In fact this year the first promotion of nearly 150 Taiwanese students will graduate at this centre.

CEU Universities are also provided with a platform conceived to welcome international students. They are offered additional counselling and services which go from the arrival to finding an accommodation, opening a bank account, managing everything related to medical insurances, mobile phones and Internet as well as other legal aspects, administrative proceedings and culture and leisure activities. Each student will have its own counsellor who will always be available at the Office of International Relations.

Receiving students from other countries and integrating them in our centres falls under the clear international vision of CEU Universities. Having students from other nationalities and cultures in our classes is without doubt a way to enrich the university experience we offer.
