Student Receives Award for Research on a Drug Capable of Halting Alzheimer’s Disease

31 January, 2018The Vice-Chancellor of International Relations from the Centre for Study Abroad has launched the second edition of the Business & Internship Program that will extend over this second semester. Last week the Vice-Chancellor of International Relations welcomed 4 students from the University of Connecticut who have started this program.
During the orientation session, students had the opportunity to meet the team of Study Abroad and their professors María Encina Morales and Manuel Molina in addition to the Vice-Chancellor of the Faculty of Economics and Business Sciences, Desamparados Llull. On the other hand, during this session students reflected on our cultural differences which will allow them to better adapt to our country and make the most of their stay.
Students will share lecture room with other International students and will study topics such as Operations Management, Banking and Business Ethics (subjects of the Faculty of Economics and Business Science), Contemporary Literature given by Ángel Arias and Spanish language (subjects of the Faculty of Arts and Communication Sciences).
Access to employment
Regarding internships, students have held a meeting with the Head of Corporate Internships, Mercedes Ruiz de Palacios, who has made some recommendations on the presentation of their curriculum and has listened to their preferences to bear them in mind when looking for their internships.
The 4 students from Connecticut are currently attending an intensive Spanish course that will aid them improve their Spanish level before starting their normal classes.
