CEU, committed to employability

Universidad CEU San Pablo and the City Council of Madrid have signed a collaboration agreement to design a cooperation framework for the dissemination of information of public municipal employment among University students in order to ease employability. The agreement has been signed by Rosa Visiedo and Carmen García de Elías, Dean and Manager of CEU USP, respectively and Antonio Sánchez Díaz, managing director of Planning of Human Resources of the City Council of Madrid.

With this agreement both institutions undertake to provide all human, material and technical resources available for the achievement of common purposes. Specifically the City Council will make available to the University information on periodical vacancy notices for the academic institution to inform its students using the most efficient and effective methods.

This agreement favours the employability of CEU students, an action vector of the University that has acquired special importance and has led to the implementation of policies which benefit the access to the labour market of students and the subsequent transfer of knowledge to the society.

Aspects of the agreement

The City Council through the General Directorate of Planning and Programming of Human Resources shall inform on the vacancies to notice, degrees required, syllabus to study, content of the professional activity to develop and economic and employment conditions. It will take part also in congresses, job fairs, conferences organized by the University to inform its students within the scope of public employment.

It shall also study the different education proposals of the University and teachers for their potential incorporation to annual education plans of the City Council of Madrid and will ease the celebration of sessions or conferences to spread the offer of job positions and municipal employment conditions.

It will promote the attendance of students using ECTs credits for attendance or presentation of projects and municipal experiences during teaching hours always in line with the topic object of the subject in question.

Finally both institutions will analyse the estimates of vacancies in Masters and postgraduate studies of the University to which municipal staff may attend in favourable economic conditions or with scholarships or discounts of fees.

CEU Emplea

One of the main purposes once studies are finished either at University or Professional Education is to find a job but this may not always be easy. Therefore Fundación Universitaria San Pablo CEU launched CEU Emplea, a space of knowledge and transversal collaboration to all educational stages where to develop different initiatives in order to increase students’ employability.
