The Superior Council for Sports (CSD for its Spanish initials) and the University Foundations San Pablo CEU, Abat Oliba CEU and San Pablo Andalucía CEU have signed an agreement for the development of joint actions to ease education and employability of top-level sportsmen and athletes within the framework of the Program to provide Assistance to Sportsmen (PROAD) by CSD. An agreement applicable to the universities San Pablo de Madrid, Abat Oliba de Barcelona, Cardenal Herrera de Valencia and the centre for university studies Cardenal Spínola in Sevilla.
CEU Sportsmen Assistance is a program designed for the successful conciliation of both the sports and academic career and will ease employability of students once their sports career ends.
Thanks to CEU’s academic experience and its HyFlex methodology we can offer elite sportsmen the custom-made and flexible education they need regardless their location and with the supervision and tuition they require.
Among these measures we have to highlight:
PROAD, comprehensive support of sportsmen
Just as the State Secretary for Sports has recalled in his speech, the Program to provide assistance to Sportsmen known as PROAD is conceived to foster the policy to provide support and comprehensive assistance to high-level sportsmen (DAN) and athletes (DAR) of the Autonomous Communities enrolled in the program. It offers customized attention during their sports career to achieve a successful social and employment integration.
The Program coordinates and streamlines actions with the different public institutions and private bodies that wish to involve in the development of high-level sports and its values. These last months it has signed agreements with entities such as Renfe, Paradores or CaixaBank, among others.
