Christmas is a special festivity for the whole CEU Community. For youngsters and not so much it is a time for meditation to live it intimately with the family and prepare our hearts to welcome God.
On the occasion of the commemoration of Jesus birth, Universidad CEU San Pablo organizes several acts for the whole University community welcoming students, teachers, researchers and administration and services staff. To celebrate Advent, last 1st December there was the first act at University; Placing Christmas tree and a picture of the Nativity scene at Moncloa and Monteprincipe campuses. These two symbols representing the spirit of these important days were blessed by Father Jesús Robledo and Father Daniel Rojo. The act was enlivened by the University choir.
María Angélica Villota, Responsible of the Hospitality service states that “if there is anything CEU outstands for is the warmth of its relationship with students who being far from home and missing their families and customs, feel that love from another perspective”.
Another important action of USP CEU in these days is the collection of non-perishable food in which the whole community can take part. Boxes have been located in the different important areas of Moncloa and Monteprincipe campus where anyone can leave its contribution. This year, everything will be donated to Hogar Santa María de la Paz.
Likewise the music group “Siempre Así” has recorded its version of the Solidarity Carol “Los peces en el río” for Cáritas Española Christmas campaign with the intention of collecting funds for social and humanitarian initiatives of the organization. This is an initiative carried out along with CEU that attending its foundational values and its service vocation contributes to a better and more humanitarian world.
On the other hand, there is the Solidarity Payroll. All CEU staff can make their part to help those most in need. This year everything will be donated to Cáritas that with the initiative “Family, Childhood and Youth” accompanies families in an integral manner both with academic, labour or coexistence support.
