New master in Family Law and Successions

Universidad CEU San Pablo, USP, has signed a collaboration agreement with Fundación Aequitas del Consejo General del Notariado by which both institutions have approved the creation and enhancement of a Master in Family Law and Successions.

This agreement establishes the dissemination, promotion and development lines of the master; the study plan and a list of professors. Moreover, Fundación Aequitas will collaborate with the academic senate to teach the topics on legal protection of those most vulnerable.

In turn, CEU USP will provide the appropriate installations and will incorporate a number of teachers with academic level and experience in the field of the Master.

The academic senate will be formed by notaries, judges, prosecutors and lawyers; while the syllabus will include all sorts of aspects related to Family Law (marriage-economic regime, family and gender violence, minors and disability, mediation, international adoption, child abduction, subrogated maternity, filiation, family placement, guardianship, de facto guardian, legal defendant…) and Successions (legacies, usufructs, legitimate, acceptance and denial of inheritance, partitions, life insurances…).

This Master has seventy credits in total of which twenty correspond to internships in law firms and six to end of master work. The study load is of 272 hours (an average of nine per week between Friday afternoon and Saturday morning). This year can be completed independently or with the Máster de Acceso a la abogacía (Doble Máster) de la Universidad.
