Over 200 undergraduates took part in the 18th International Congress of CEU UCH Students

Universidad CEU Cardenal Herrera hosted the 18th International Congress of Students (CIE); a university event basically aimed at introducing students in the world of research trying to approach science as the search of solutions that improve the life of people and our environment.

CEU UCH Vice-Dean of Students and University Life, María José González, Vice-Dean of Research, Nacho Pérez and the President of this Congress Enric Poch, inaugurated the 18th CIE at the Aula Magna of the Faculty of Health Sciences of CEU UCH.

Over 200 students from different degrees

For two days students had the opportunity to take part not only in presentations of scientific works but also in encounters with University researchers, lectures called “Coffee with Science” that helped undergraduates know first-hand the different projects that are being carried out.

The first day students listened to researcher professor Vicente Hernández Rabaza and Samuel Asensio talking about “The brain: who knows what’s inside?”. Afterwards researchers Chelo Rubio Guerri and Elisa Maiques Fernández discussed about “COVID-19, has the worst already ended?” and at the end, researcher Ana Leyda Menéndez offered a “Coffee with Science” focused on “People with cognitive diversity. Much more than a visit to the dentist”.

Overcome your mind limits 

Encounters with research continued on Friday at 11:30hours with Marta Toledo Roca and Nerea Rodríguez, who talked about Physiotherapy specialized in dance.

Also, the closure ceremony of the 18th International Congress of Students of CEU UCH was held with the conference “Overcome your mind’s limits” by Marta Romo, expert in Neuroscience applied to learning and leadership and the subsequent awards ceremony for the best communications.

This new edition of the CEU UCH International Congress of Students was sponsored by the Association of Physiotherapists of CV, Association of Nursing of Alicante and Castellón, the Association of Pharmacy of Valencia and Castellón, the Association of Psychologists of CV, the Association of Doctors of Castellón in addition to companies Farmafir, VOCO, Herycor, Alvet, Panama Jack, Karlstorz, Copy Chamo and Alfa Copy.
