The Marketing Director for Europe and Middle East of the fashion corporation GUESS, Dario Cardamone, has visited the Faculty of Economic Sciences and Business. The reason is the KICKOFF-Workshop, a project where students of the Degree in International Marketing will work during the first term of this academic year.
Cardamone shared with the students figures and information about GUESS during this event as well as details on the expectations of each subject that will unleash their creative and innovation capacity. Taking part in a real international marketing plan is not only a study and work opportunity it is also a way to improve visibility and employability of students.
The initiative is promoted by professors Gloria Aznar and Elizabeth Frank and is supported by the teachers Paloma Saá and Arancha Mielgo. The intention is that students will be able to apply the theory learnt in classrooms to a case study that will help them create real connections with the corporate world. It is therefore a comprehensive learning which offers them a very useful experience for their future professional life.
Students will present their proposals in a study trip to Switzerland during the first week of December. During this trip they will take part in workshops of the University of Applied Sciences of Southern Switzerland (SUPSI). Moreover they will visit the European headquarters of the corporation and will have the chance to present the final project to its directors. Therefore, this project will offer students the opportunity to enjoy international academic mobility.
This is a good example of how we, from CEU Universities, promote internationalization, one of the cornerstones of our educational model. We do it welcoming students from other countries to our Spanish campus, studying and learning in places of great interest and attractiveness, also boosting international projection of our students both with the contact with prestigious foreign universities and with corporations to sign agreements.
