The close link between innovation and undertaking in CEU Universities

Innovation is among the foundations of any new business started by an entrepreneur. The capacity to innovate goes hand in hand with undertaking and both of them are reached on the grounds of education, work and dedication.

In a knowledge-based society where technology and education are essential, Universities turn into the main focus of social development. It is precisely the environment for the application of the knowledge acquired. In this line, in the last decades another mission has been entrusted to universities, a necessary commitment to innovation and undertaking as well as to social engagement. This is known as the third mission of the University, beyond education and investigation.

Promoting research activities as well as their transmission to the corporate world and society is one of CEU’s goals which are attained at our university centres and Research Institutes. Our proposal is based on independence and philosophy aimed at facing changes and finding opportunities.

The academic offer of CEU Universities is oriented to transversally boost both spirits; entrepreneurship and investigation, crucial to achieve innovative solutions. In addition, the program CEU Emprende has been specially designed to support our students’ initiatives. This reservoir of ideas and new business proposals is present in CEU San Pablo, CEU Abat Oliba and CEU Cardenal Herrera. It also offers training, programs for the acceleration and access to financing as well as the follow up of all stages of the project development.
