Each 5th June we celebrate the World Environment Day promoted since 1974 by the UN. It is the most important day of its environmental agenda conceived to encourage environmental action and appeal to governments, organizations, companies and citizens to develop joint actions in favour of climate.
Without doubt, climatic challenge focused on careers related to the environment raise a growing interest. The sector of sustainability also known as the green sector is a source of innovative projects committed to the future of the planet and the wellbeing of citizens. Environmental legislation is ever more demanding and therefore in fact any area of activity has to count on professionals specialized in that area. Also, youngsters are ever more concerned about climatic change and the need to put a stop to it.
CEU Universities wish to raise not only the best professionals but also the best people, actively committed to the progress of the society. Also, our concern for the employability of CEU students encourages us to propose degrees that meet the demands of companies or public bodies. There is ever more orientation to sustainability to respond to the demands of society. For this reason, choosing postgraduates and areas of expertise related to the environment will allow our students fulfil their corporate objectives as well as observe their commitment to the sustainable development of organizations. An example is our Degree on Energy Efficiency and Sustainability in Construction of CEU San Pablo. It is oriented to students of Engineering and Architecture Degrees as well as to professionals of the construction sector and those with an environmental profile. Also, with this degree the student will obtain a triple degree when adding the Diploma of Studies in Energy Certificates and the degree of Certified Assessor of Green Sustainability.
In turn, CEU UCH offers the University Master in Project Management and Energy Installations focused on clean energies, a sector with high demand of experts. We have to add also, employment opportunities within the scope of energetic efficiency studies and management of energy, its audits as well as the development and supervision of energetic consumption controls and fulfilment of standards.
The aim of CEU Universities is to form the professionals of the future, ready to transform ideas into actions and capable of improving the society. At a time when soft skills are more demanded than professional experience or degrees, there is no doubt that values are considered skills. They are the basis for everything both from a personal and professional point of view. In addition, they are at the heart of CEU educational project based on the principles of Christian humanism in the search for academic excellence and comprehensive training of students.
