The value of being an international university

The volume of international students in Spain is growing intensively and continuously. For youngsters regardless of their nationality having studied at a prestigious foreign university may be a gateway to the world of business or in areas such as the academic.

The increasing globalization of all sorts of activities comes hand in hand with a greater demand of international and at the same time more accessible experience. The challenges of the future require professionals able to operate internationally.

Knowing people from other nationalities and cultures; other ways to understand the world; different working dynamics…dealing with global environments gaining autonomy…are skills that university students acquire when they study abroad.

For an academic institution, internationalization means preparing students to live, work and be happy in a globalized world. Being an international university involves not only having sound knowledge of the area of expertise; it is necessary to develop inter-disciplinary skills that CEU proposes through international projects, practical experiences and different programs. 3,300 international students

Our campus receives 3,300 international students from dozens of nationalities. A cultural diversity enriching the student’s capacity to learn and which at the same time attracts new students worldwide. For example in 2018-19, Universidad CEU Cardenal Herrera reached the record figure of nearly 2,500 international students present in its three campuses representing 30% of the total of its students.

This international dimension concentrates in bilingual degrees, international mobility programs, international internships, study visits and Study Abroad programs. It is a matter of providing the student with an international academic experience qualifying him to integrate in a multicultural society.

Universities among the most international of Spain and Europe

The three universities –CEU San Pablo, Universitat Abat Oliba CEU and CEU Cardenal Herrera– welcome students from all parts of the world and at the same time, Spanish students can stay abroad during their career. Studying at CEU, students will be able to stay at universities and work in companies all around the world thanks to over 500 international agreements.

Studying in renowned US Universities

CEU is the only Spanish institution with dual university degree programs at the best US Universities: UCLA, Boston University y Fordham University.

Students enrolled in these programs receive English classes in Spain by professors from US universities and study one term at the relevant US University.
