Three research projects of the CEU Cardenal Herrera have been recognized in specialized media

The work of research professors of Universidad CEU Cardenal Herrera is being disseminated and recognized both at a national and international extent. This impact on the media from different countries, specialized magazines and scientific and professional associations’ webs is the result of the collaboration with the RUVID association.

These last weeks, three research  projects of the University have had an impact on prestigious publications.

Algorithms to detect at an early stage cognitive impairment at pharmacies

Lucrecia Moreno, Vice-Dean of the Degree in Chemistry of CEU Cardenal Herrera is responsible for the design of these mathematic algorithms .Her project was published on Medicine Internet portals as Medical Xpress, Medical View, News-Medical, Medicine News Line and Medics Finder as well as on the printed edition of Costa Levante News. María Dolores Guerrero and the President of SEFAC-CV Maite Climent collaborate with her as well as Juan Pardo and Javier Muñoz, both professors of Grupo ESAI.

Study of the influence of high iron-content water in the onset of stains on denture

With this project led by Verónica Veses, Head of the Department of Biomedical Sciences it has been proven that the high presence of iron in water is one of the most important risk factors for the onset of black stains on the denture closer to gums.  With her, María del Mar Jovani, Professor of the Department of Odontology, Claudia Ortiz, student of the PhD and the Chief of Laboratories of the Faculty of Health Sciences of the University, José Antonio García Bautista, have appeared in several medical publications thanks to their joint effort. This is the case of Medical Xpress, Healthcare-News and Notizie Scientifiche.

New protocol for the reproduction of ovine cattle with natural hormones

The research of CEU Cardenal Herrera along with the INIA has been shared in the social network of the American Association of Small Rumiants Practicioners and the Purdue University. The project was led by the Professor and Researcher, Paula Martínez Ros, Professor of the Department of Production and Animal Health of the Faculty of Veterinary of the University and by Antonio González de Bulnes, scientific researcher of the INIA. Professors Mari Carmen López Mendoza, Marta Lozano, Alejandro Ríos, Empar García Roselló and Susana Astiz, researcher of the INIA have joined them in their efforts.
