13 December, 2023Minsait, Indra’s global consulting and information technology subsidiary, and CEU San Pablo University have signed a strategic agreement for cybersecurity training for students of the Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering, which may be extended to the Bachelor’s Degrees in Biomedical Engineering and Telecommunications.
Santiago Huertas Chacón, Director of Talent at Minsait, and Rosa Visiedo, Rector of CEU USP, were responsible for signing this collaboration agreement in the presence of Roberto Espina, CEO of SIA, a leading cybersecurity company through which Minsait (both Indra companies) provides services in an area in which CEU students will have the opportunity to receive master classes and specific tutorials.
As part of the agreement, with the aim of achieving the best employability for its students, this academic year CEU USP has promoted the CEU-Business Classrooms in all the Faculties and the Higher Polytechnic School (EPS). As a result of this commitment to employability, both institutions have created the Aula CEU-Minsait. A programme that will be taught at the EPS and that integrates both theoretical and practical aspects of learning, in order to provide participating students with the option of joining the labour market at the hands of the technology company, where they will be able to carry out work placements.
The project will also bring students closer to cybersecurity, one of the most sought-after technological fields with a more transversal and positive impact on the productive fabric, administrations and individuals.
After signing the agreement, Roberto Espina, Chief Executive Officer of Grupo SIA, said that “today, it is imperative to have specialised talent; this agreement provides students with a specific learning opportunity that responds to many of the current and future challenges of the digital world and to be able to join a leading pioneering company in cybersecurity; for SIA, it is also key to contribute to the training of tomorrow’s professionals and count on them to accompany our clients in protecting their business or activity”.
On behalf of Minsait, Huertas Chacón thanked CEU San Pablo University for signing this collaboration agreement, which “will allow us to contribute to the training of students through various tutoring, training and professional internship initiatives, with the aim of promoting their employability in high-demand transformation projects in an increasingly demanding labour market”.
For her part, the Rector of the University, Rosa Visiedo, stressed the importance of the inauguration of the Aula CEU-Minsait, which “corresponds to our strategy of continuing to offer our students the best training, both theoretical and practical, creating a genuine university-business ecosystem through teaching spaces, where joint projects between the professional and academic worlds are promoted and strengthened”
