Employability of CEU Universities: “Outstanding”

Employability of our students is one of the main lines of action of CEU Universities. Companies and Universities go hand in hand and that good relationship is translated into very high employability rates.

For example, according to the latest employability study prepared by the Quality Department of Universidad San Pablo, in Madrid, employability of graduates is 94% and the time to find an employment is of an average of around 3.43 months. Also, 88% of students find a full-time work.

One of the factors which most impact on these figures is the counselling work of the Professional Careers Service , where talent is boosted through employability programs in addition to offering employment search tools, promoting recruitment events and networking with companies or professional counselling and advising in a customized manner.

Students of Universidad CEU San Pablo enjoy different mentoring programs with the attendance of professors and professionals (many of them alumni) who provide knowledge and experience in different corporate sectors, guiding students in their first contact with the labour market. Also they extensively work personal skills which are the differential factor in talent recruitment processes. Adaptation to changes, communication, critical and creative thinking, resolute attitude and motivation to learn are the new qualities most identified and valued by companies and CEU encourages them with different activities. Also, students may enjoy an enriching international experience and several practices beyond those strictly academic.

Among the best Spanish universities

The latest QS World University Ranking includes CEU Universities among 25 best Universities in Spain. This result includes the dimension of employability which outstands for the close relationship with companies and institutions through over 9,000 agreements for academic and non-academic internships of students. At the same time it acknowledges the development of training and certification systems of critical transversal skills for professional preparation of students.

Also to strengthen even more this dimension CEU has created the Counselling Employability Council among other initiatives to detect within the corporate environment the needs of the labour market and solve them updating academic contents of the different disciplines taught.
