CEU brings its conception of university education to Aula

Once again this year, Universidad CEU San Pablo is present at AULA to offer undergraduates its wide educational offer and its concept of a university education in which the student is the main focus. The University aims for its students to grow intellectually, as professionals and as humans and it does so in an individualised way.

With its exclusive teaching method, CEU aims to prepare students to face an increasingly demanding and constantly changing work environment. For this reason, it maintains a close relationship with the business world and adjusts its syllabuses to the profile sought by companies, thus increasing their employability.

This academic year, the University is creating an authentic university-business ecosystem through teaching spaces where joint projects between the professional and academic worlds are promoted and encouraged: the CEU-Business Classrooms: a project that is being implemented in all faculties and which enables students to receive complementary training while taking their first steps in the professional world. Classrooms are already up and running with companies from various sectors such as Adecco, IBM, Generali, NTT Data, Abante, KPMG, EY, Sanitas, Marco Comunicación, You First, El Debate, The Jump, Hola, Clínica Jurídica, etc.

Through this proximity to business reality and the reports of the Employability Advisory Council-CEU, the University is aware that personal skills are the differentiating factor in the processes of attracting talent, beyond the technical knowledge with which young people enter the labour market. Adaptation to change, effective communication, critical and creative thinking, the ability to solve problems and the motivation to learn are the most identified and valued personal skills. For this reason, Universidad CEU San Pablo encourages the development of these skills and ways of working through different actions such as the ‘Futuro’ Degree, and the GPS, CEU Emprende and Emplea Talento CEU programmes, which promote entrepreneurship, provide personal and professional support and connect recruiters and candidates.

All these initiatives are the result of the vocation of service to society that is inherent to CEU’s educational project. A University that wants to train good professionals but also people with the capacity to think, forged in Christian humanism values and with the determination to act to build a fairer and a more just society.
