Expert in Big Data, one of the most sought-after profiles by companies

We live in a global and digitally hyper-connected world in which data management has become of paramount importance for companies, which need trained professionals to carry out specialized analysis and management in order to obtain the relevant information.

Over the past few years, large corporations have invested in improving the speed and sophistication of their decision-making processes. But there are still many companies that are failing to take advantage of big data.

In the current situation, business models are emerging that generate new value propositions based on the knowledge produced by data analysis.

Knowledge of customer tastes, the ability to anticipate trends and know what the outcome of a product or service will be, are competitive advantages that must be taken into account. Many of these differentiators are based on Big Data and Business Intelligence. The convergence of different elements, such as the explosion of managed data or the sensorisation of objects and processes, are causing model changes that allow us to adapt and anticipate the way in which we relate and consume.

In this scenario, companies need managers trained in these areas who are capable of leading transformation processes in their organizations.

What is big data?

Big data refers to the processing of data sets so large that traditional software is unable to analyze or understand them. It seeks to analyze, understand and predict user behavior.

Collecting data and accumulating it for analysis is not new. It was born with the digital world back in the 1970s. It was only in the 2000s that the first tools for analyzing and processing complex data were developed. And, unsurprisingly, applications have been developed to process and structure the information.

Big Data is the processing of this massive and unstructured information. It makes it pass through a filter and manages to order it in order to give it meaning.
