Connecting with companies throughout Europe; one more reason to study Veterinary at CEU UCH

Connecting future veterinaries with benchmark companies of the sector both at a national and international level has been the main objective of the Veterinary Employment Fair of Universidad CEU Cardenal Herrera, UCH in Valencia. This initiative of the Faculty of Veterinary and the Service of Professional Careers of CEU UCH has been attended by over 250 students and around twenty national and international companies and institutions. This year it has increased in over 50% the attendance of students and companies turning this Fair into one of the most important ones at a national and international level within the University scope.

With its 22 stands of official institutions, clinics, hospitals, production and emergency services in Spain and other European countries such as France, UK or Sweden, future Veterinary professionals have been able to discover a broad array of employment possibilities as well as all internship and scholarship opportunities both national and international.

In this II Veterinary Employment Fair attendants have been able to share the experience of former students working at some of the companies present in the event as well as the veterinary vision from a corporate point of view and even living an immersive experience with augmented reality in the animal production sector.

“Contact between students, university and veterinaries, is one of the objectives we propose as Faculty in the search of excellence as objective of our undergraduates. This contact has been possible in this Employment Fair and helps expand the professional vision of the student, future graduate” has highlighted the Dean of the Faculty of Veterinary of CEU UCH, Joaquín Sopena. In this sense he has pointed out that this relationship with companies from different sectors in one same physical space “eases the final professional decision”.

Prestige and practical education: two compelling reasons to study veterinary at CEU UCH

Employability is not the only reason to study veterinary at Universidad CEU Cardenal Herrera, UCH. Its Faculty of Veterinary has over 20 years of experience in the education of veterinary professionals and was the first one to teach these studies in the Community of Valencia.

The Faculty is member of the EAEVE (European Association of Establishments for Veterinary Education). The EAEVE is the entity that assembles the best European Veterinary Faculties. This entity assesses Veterinary Faculties around Europe using demanding processes and acknowledges with a certificate those who exceed quality international standards.

It has accomplished its assessment standards and therefore the Faculty has the «Full Accreditation» European accreditation of high quality level. The degree in veterinary of the UCH CEU was the first private faculty in Europe to obtain such accreditation.

Also from the first day the student has access to the Hospital Clínico Veterinario of reference. The faculty has over 1,000 positions for external internships (many of them outside Spain to guarantee an international experience for their students) with over 400 tutors that will guide them in the final part of their learning. Among the internship agreements we can highlight those signed with Bioparc or L’Oceanogràfic.
