Youth employability and talent attraction
7 November, 2023Admissions process for the academic year 24-25 is now open
14 November, 2023The search for professional profiles that add value to projects has led to a revolution in the labour market. Companies are looking for skills in their candidates. They demand professionals with the ability to adapt; flexible professionals who know how to work in multidisciplinary and international teams because companies are global.
In response to this reality, CEU Universities promoted the CEU Micro-credentials, an initiative focused on promoting skills training for future professionals as a guarantee of their employability.
Thus, if a job candidate’s qualifications are a requirement, competences differentiate him/her and make him/her the ideal candidate for a company. Therefore, acquiring and making these skills visible is key.
What are CEU Microcredentials?
CEU Microcredentials are digital certifications that recognise and accredit competences learnt by students. Their aim is to provide visibility among employers in the labour market.
- A micro-credential is the recognition of an achievement, experience or learning outcome, which accredits a learned competence and is digitally certified.
- It aims to provide detailed and valuable information on the professional profile, improving visibility to employers in the labour market.
- The employer will be able to see at a click the learning experiences and evidence that support these competences. At CEU, micro-credentials are certified by means of digital badges, which can be shared and ensure the veracity of the information, which is an added security for the employer.
The CEU Microcredentials ecosystem is made up of 21st Century competences structured along six axes: ethical commitment, international experience, ability to apply the scientific method, languages and digitalisation, soft skills and other professional competences related to work socialisation and immersion in the company.
CEU Micro-credentials are earned by participating in various learning experiences provided by the three CEU Universities.
