Aula Abante, promoting financial education

In order to boost the employability of students, Universidad CEU San Pablo in Madrid and Abante have reached a collaboration agreement with the aim of promoting financial education and youth employment, and bringing the sector closer to students. Within the university-business ecosystem that CEU USP is promoting, the Aula Abante-CEU has been inaugurated, a programme that will be taught in the Faculty of Economics and Business Studies and which integrates both theoretical and practical aspects of learning, in order to provide participating students with the option of joining the labour market through the company, where they can carry out work placements.

The Aula Abante-CEU is part of the training cycle recently launched by the institution to promote financial education among young students and bring them closer to the activity of financial and wealth advice and asset management. The Aula Abante training cycle consists of different seminars which will be held over the coming months with the aim not only of improving financial education, but also of promoting economic knowledge and concepts which are essential for making better decisions.

About Abante

Abante is an independent financial institution with extensive experience in training people. Since its inception more than 20 years ago, all professionals who have joined the company each year have received specific internal training to obtain EFA (European Financial Advisor) certification from the EFPA Spain association. As part of its commitment to young talent and its commitment to training, the company hires around 60 interns every year, so that they can develop and acquire knowledge and skills in the financial sector and asset management.

“We have always defended a different way of understanding financial advice: focused on people. That is why, since our origins, we have understood that this added value meant having professionals who not only really listened to the client, but also had the necessary technical knowledge to give them the best financial advice,” says Gadea de la Viuda, founding partner and managing director of the company.

CEU-Business Classrooms

CEU San Pablo University is creating an authentic university-business ecosystem through teaching spaces, where joint projects between the professional and academic worlds are promoted and encouraged. This project, which began this academic year, is being implemented in all faculties and enables students to receive complementary training while taking their first steps in the world of work.
