9 August, 2023According to the recently published 2023 edition of the Times Higher Education (THE) Impact Rankings, CEU ranks first among all Spanish universities in the ‘Health and Wellbeing’ indicator.
This ranking measures universities’ research on major diseases and conditions, their support to health professions, as well as the health care of their students and employees. In Spain, this list has measured 37 universities, in which CEU Universities have been positioned in first place, rising from the 4th place achieved in 2022. There has also been an overall improvement in this indicator. CEU Universities are ranked 88th in the world, out of more than 1,200 institutions from over 100 countries analysed in the 2023 ranking.
THE Impact Ranking criteria
THE’s Impact Ranking on ‘Health and Wellbeing’ has analysed the work of universities under three criteria:
- The first measures health and wellbeing research, measuring visits to scientific articles, clinical citations and the volume of research produced.
- Secondly, the proportion of graduates in studies related to the health professions out of the total number of graduates in each institution is analysed.
- Lastly, the ranking also looks at the health and welfare services provided by each university to its own students and employees, as well as to the local community and disadvantaged groups.
