Rules for this year 2020-2021: CEU Universities, a protected space

There is no doubt that CEU Universities successfully accomplished the challenge involved in the closing of classrooms last March. CEU’s commitment to digital transformation eased the quick adaptation of education to new circumstances. CEU Universities’ nimble response to the new digital needs offered us the possibility of being #CerradosPeroAbiertos (#ClosedButOpen). Therefore a great effort was made to help all students successfully finish the year without losing time or endeavours.

With this same thought we also face the new course. The double presence model has been implemented to start the year combining present and digital education. With this system we place our students at the centre, favouring their participation and decision making process. But, in such a rare situation as the present one, the key is also in our own responsibility and our responsibility towards others. Therefore we have defined a series of rules to turn CEU Universities into protected areas.

Anti-COVID rules of CEU Universities

  • Take care of your health. If you have symptoms compatible with COVID-19, do not attend lessons or visit the centre.
  • Wash your hands frequently and thoroughly. You will find hydroacoholic gel dispensers at the premises of your centre but we also recommend that you take your own in your backpack.
  • Use a mask. Its use is compulsory in all areas of the University. Choose hygienic or surgical masks and change them when necessary.
  • Keep the safety distance with everyone. The best way to protect ourselves is to avoid coming closer than 1.5 meters to others.
  • Do not touch anything which is not strictly necessary. If you are going to touch any object, wash your hands before.
  • Do not share work tools or supplies. Any study material has to be used only by you.
  • Cover your mouth with a tissue when coughing or sneezing.
  • Immediately throwaway tissues and napkins. Do not keep them; throw them away to bins and containers for them.

Remember that CEU Universities have been awarded along with the rest of the centres of Fundación Universitaria San Pablo CEU, the certificate of Protected COVID-19 space by Audelco, an audit and certifying company of occupational risk prevention management systems. This certificate validates the management system applied by CEU to control the risk of COVID-19 infection with respect to the actual legislation or sector guidelines to be applied. Therefore, we have designed and implemented a Plan for COVID-19 prevention and protocols associated to the activities developed at CEU Universities.

If you have any doubt, ask your University. And remember: always check official sources for further information.
