Students from all over the world value CEU USP’s international projection

Universidad CEU San Pablo, USP, in Madrid has just published a video in which Ainhoa Uribe, Vice Rector for Internationalisation of the University, together with international students and colleagues from the Vice Rectorate, assesses the importance of the Certificate for Quality in Internationalisation (CeQuInt) with which USP has been recognised. “We are very happy; in fact, we have been awarded with the qualification “Good” in all analysed parameters”, she affirms.

For her part, Beatriz Jiménez, Director of the International Strategic Projects Office, stresses that in “this transversal process we have involved many members of the university community”.

Alejandra Villena, Director of International Mobility, explains that CeQuInt accreditation lasts for five years and allows the University to improve all its internationalisation processes. “USP welcomes students, professors and administrative staff of different nationalities,” says Delphine Lurton, International Programs Coordinator.

Students value the University’s international outreach

This certificate recognises the international projection of a university that has international double degrees at Bachelor’s and Master’s level and its own degrees in all faculties, with exclusive American universities and reference institutions and a wide range of Erasmus and Bilateral destinations.

If you want to know more about the CEU programmes with some of the best universities in the United States: UCLA, Boston University and Fordham University, visit this link.

According to Andrea Di Gennaro, an international student from Venezuela, “these programmes are the best that this University can offer you”. Sammuel Wright, a student from the UK, shares her opinion, “being a foreign student, I’ve really enjoyed this University; it’s been amazing”.

An increasingly international university

The International Community of the CEU San Pablo University, USP, continues to grow with nearly 25% of international students, of 70 nationalities. With an offer of 2,233 international mobility places for the academic year 2023-24, and agreements with 385 universities in 33 countries on all continents, student mobility and internships on all five continents. In addition, students can study Degrees entirely in English.

Marcos Trujillo, an international student from Peru, explains that he wanted to be surrounded by people from all over the world and “CEU is that international option”. Diana Kriuchkova, from Ukraine, adds that “the people who work here have helped me all the time”.

CEU San Pablo University is the first university in Madrid and the second in Spain, together with CEU Cardenal Herrera University in Valencia, to achieve this institutional distinction. It joins the prestigious list of accredited universities (either the whole university or some programmes/faculties) such as: Maastricht University (Netherlands), Utrecht University (Netherlands), Laurea University (Finland), Wageningen University (Netherlands), University of Groningen (Netherlands), The Hague University (Hague, Netherlands), or the University of Applied Sciences BFI Vienna, among others.

Other international awards

The CeQuInt seal is added to other recognitions such as the Bachelor of Architecture accredited by the American agency NAAB, the 5 QS stars obtained by CEU Universities in Internationalisation, Teaching, Research, Employability and Inclusion.

Universidad CEU San Pablo, USP, stands out for its Research of Excellence, with 60 research groups, more than 500 researchers and 80 projects with public funding, and for an employment rate of 95% of its students.
