CEU Universities for the first time since their creation have been included in the international ranking prepared by the British company Quacquarelli Symonds (QS), specialized in the analysis of higher education institutions worldwide. In this 2023 Edition, only 31 Spanish, public and private universities of over more than 80 exiting in Spain, have been listed in this ranking.
CEU Universities in the QS World University Ranking
On the other hand, the QS World University Ranking has assessed a total of 2,462 universities worldwide of which only 1,422 have shown enough level to appear in this ranking which methodology is based on the analysis of six factors of different importance which determine the global quality of each of the university centres analysed: the academic level, reputation among employers, ratio of students vs. professors, number of quotes received by research publications, ratio of foreign teachers vs. foreign students.
Internationalization
This ranking confirms the commitment of CEU Universities to internationalization which attracts 30% of foreign students to its classes. This ratio of foreign students, over the average, has granted them the 4th position in the QS World University Ranking among Spanish universities and position 301 worldwide which places CEU Universities 25% above all other academic institutions analysed in such ranking.
Employability and relation with companies
As regards employability, CEU Universities outstand for their close relationship with companies and institutions with over 9,000 agreements for CV and non-CV internships of students. At the same time, the university has developed an education and certification system of critical transversal skills for the professional preparation of its students. As a result of this strategy over 90% of CEU Universities graduates find a job few months after ending their studies.
To strengthen this dimension even more, CEU has created the Counselling Board on Employability among other initiatives to detect with the corporate environment the needs of the labour market and solve them updating academic contents of different disciplines taught.
