Studying Medicine and Pharmacy in Spain with internships at prestigious hospitals

Universidad San Pablo CEU and the Foundation ASISA have signed a collaboration agreement to provide internships at Hospital Universitario HLA Moncloa (Madrid) for students of Health Sciences of the Faculties of Medicine and Pharmacy as well as of the Higher Polytechnic School of Universidad CEU San Pablo.

They will foster training cooperation programs and internships at Hospital Universitario HLA Moncloa as well as the development of research and technological innovation activities and projects

This collaboration will focus on theoretical and practical clinical aspects at degree, postgraduate and PhD levels and on different research, development and technological innovation actions in Healthcare Sciences.

Quoting Rosa Visiedo, Rector of Universidad CEU San Pablo: “This agreement is very important as it delves into our strategy of continue offering our Health Sciences students the best education both theoretical and practical hand in hand with the best professionals and in this sense we have found an ally in Fundación ASISA”.

The activities foreseen in this agreement will be available for students of the degrees of Medicine, Odontology, Psychology, Infirmary, Physiotherapy, Genetics, Pharmacy, Human Nutrition and Dietetics and Biomedical Engineering as well as students enrolled in different Masters and PhDs.

Therefore Hospital Universitario HLA Moncloa joins other prestigious centres with which CEU has signed similar agreements. In fact, the clinical topics of the Degrees in Medicine, Odontology and Infirmary are taught at top-quality hospitals authorized for clinical teaching.

In turn clinical topics of Odontology are taught at the CEU San Pablo University Polyclinic and after the third year internships can be done at dental clinics and care services of hospitals and other authorized clinics.

On the other hand, clinical topics of Psychology and Physiotherapy are taught at the specific services of specialized centres and at University hospitals of the Faculty.

Internships in Hospitals in Valencia

Likewise the Degree in Medicine of Universidad CEU UCH in Valencia –in English and Spanish – offers internships in prestigious hospitals after the second semester of the third year.

Students have rotations in the different services such as Cardiology, Pneumology, Ophthalmology, Otholaringology, Renal and Urology Surgery and General Medicine among others.

Sixth year students, with the Supervised Practices studied during the whole academic year reinforce the skills learnt in these rotations in the different medical and surgical departments mentioned and special services such as the ICU, Geriatrics, Nuclear Medicine and High-Level sports medicine.
