From student to professional: employability at CEU Universities

The educational model of CEU university centres is focused on educating future leaders, elites that will transform society based on Christian Humanist Values. Also, studying at CEU Universities offers comprehensive education that favours international employability with an excellent teaching staff, its commitment to innovation, an entrepreneurship culture and support to develop professional careers. Within this context, there are already over 210,000 students who have attended CEU from up to 70 different nationalities.

A strong boost for entrepreneurship

Already at CEU schools from the first years we encourage an entrepreneurial vision. At CEU Universities we continue following this path, aware that entrepreneurship is much more than a form to create our own work position. Companies involve economic progress, competitiveness, employment. They are therefore conceived as an essential tool for innovation and social change, mitigating uncertainty. The entrepreneurial mindset to be encouraged allows the creative discovery of opportunities in places where others only see problems. The transversal project CEU Emprende is only an example of this commitment but you will also find at each CEU University initiatives to boost entrepreneurial initiatives:

Professional careers and orientation services

One of CEU challenges is to boost the professional development of its students. Therefore it offers guidance and counselling actions with the Service of professional careers of CEU USP and CEU UCH, as well as the Service of Orientation of CEU UAO. This way we focus on fostering talents through employability programs as well as on offering employment search tools, promoting recruitment and networking events with companies or counselling and professionally orienting in a personalized manner.

Collaboration with companies and leading organizations 

In order to ease the leap into the labour market of our students it is essential that companies connect with Universities. This way, CEU Universities in addition to relying on a teaching staff with broad professional experience, constantly propose collaborations, activities and encounters with cutting-edge companies. Furthermore, these relationships are occasionally translated into innovative training sessions, with the Degree on Virtual Reality of CEU USP, offered along with Playstation; the Cloud Computing Program that will be taught at the three CEU Universities in collaboration with AWS Educate, Amazon’s initiative addressed to improve digital skills: The CCNA (Cisco Certified Networking Associate) of CEU San Pablo; our Master on Artificial Intelligence and Intelligent Systems in collaboration with IBM and the first degree on AI powered by Microsoft.
